The first Euroa-Shepparton bus started on Tuesday.
The service, developed through the Goulburn Valley Transport Connections project, will provide access to medical appointments, entertainment, shopping and other social activities for the users.
The service will be operated by Walters Bus Lines on Tuesdays and Fridays, dropping passengers at the Shepparton Marketplace, in the CBD and at the hospital on request.
Transport Connections is about connecting communities in rural and regional Victoria.
It is a partnership between Moira Shire Council, Greater Shepparton City Council and the Strathbogie Shire Council, funded by the Department of Planning and Community Development and the Department of Transport.
